utopia in film?

Remember Demolition Man?

(Sorry, all the clips I could find are in German...)

2032. An ace cop and a super criminal frozen in time from 1996 are reawakened to find themselves in the utopian California city of San Angeles. Everything is beautiful, peaceful and happy, but to both the cop, John Spartan, and the crook, Simon Pheonix, the whole world seems off it's rocker. In the clip above, John Spartan, fresh back on the police force, lets his new coworkers know that he wasn't able to find any toilet paper in the bathroom. They laugh at this and wonder why he didn't just use the "seashells," to which Spartan is mystified - there's no more toilet paper? Moments later he is given a citation from a wall-mounted machine for using foul language.

Other seemingly bizarre things in this future world include: lack of guns (police use shock sticks), fast food corporations regarded as fine dining establishments, big screen video phones (oh boy!), and the disappearence of the act of physical sex (you gotta get some sperm inserted if you want a baby, girl).

Interestingly enough, the utopia of San Angeles disgusts Spartan, and it is later discovered that beneath the city exists a whole other society, one that lives off the scraps of the rich and cared-for, barbeques rats, and still has the notion that gas-powered cars are cool.
